BETA v0.2 · SEPTEMBER 8, 2026

Your searches.
Your business.

Here’s what this version stores and shares.

Saved Hunts

A Hunt stores the item, optional brand, model and price, and your search location and radius. It lives in the application’s database. A random, essential browser cookie gives this browser profile access to its Hunts. We store a hash of that cookie value with the records.

Hunts are not linked to an email address or account. Another browser will have a different list. Clearing cookies removes access; recovery and cross-device syncing are not available yet. You can delete a Hunt in My Hunts. Hunts with no changes or successful checks for a year are removed during routine cleanup.

Location lookups

When you submit a location, ZIP and city lookups go to Zippopotam.us. Full street addresses go to the U.S. Census Geocoder. Use a ZIP if you prefer not to share a street address. ZIP and city coordinates are approximate and cached for up to 30 days. Exact addresses are excluded from that shared location cache.

Postal coordinate data is provided by GeoNames via Zippopotam.us, with its data attribution terms. That third-party data attribution does not change Within20’s proprietary ownership.

Searches and source links

Connected sources receive the item search needed to query their inventory. The merchant feed connector sends search words and a result limit, without your name, browser identity, or address. Nationwide search works without a location lookup. If you include a location, Shopify receives search terms, your resolved ZIP when available, and country/currency preferences. Without a location, only search terms and U.S. country/currency preferences are sent. It does not receive your name, street address or browser identity from Within20.

Source responses may be cached briefly where the source permits it. Shopify catalog results are displayed for the current search without a server cache or retained listing history. No separate personal search-history log is kept.

Opening a listing or an external search link takes you to that site and its own privacy terms. Search links include your product query and may include a ZIP or city; they never include a full street address. Listing images, when present, load from their source host.

Contact messages

If you use the contact form, we send your name, reply email, and message to our private inbox through FormSubmit. Its documentation describes a 30-day submission archive. We do not store a copy of the message in the app database. Correspondence remains in our inbox for handling your request; ask through the contact form if you want it deleted, subject to any necessary recordkeeping.

We use your contact information to handle your message, not to subscribe you to marketing. Form validation and short-lived request counters help limit spam.

Service limits and agent access

Short-lived counters protect the service from excessive requests. When an edge IP address is available, the application stores a daily hash of it rather than the original address. Infrastructure providers may process ordinary connection logs under their own policies. The public agent search returns catalog results, not other users’ Hunts or contact messages, and does not set a browser cookie. This version has no advertising, analytics scripts, tracking pixels, automatic source checks, or Hunt notifications.
